1920's beach house
This was a renovation project turning an almost ruin into a beach house with a relaxed atmosphere. This small villa was built in the 1920's by an architect who returned from the United States to Finland. The american influences are evident and one of the renovation's aims was to emphasize the beach house quality of the property. The house was in a very run down state, but as much as possible of the old was salvaged.
The house is used for having drinks, reading on the verandah and parties. The rooms are small and the wallpapers form different combinations when movng around the house. The plot is a small peninsula with an old, overgrown garden in south west Finland.
The renovation was done in the spring of 2017
